# Enterprise edition

> The three features the enterprise edition adds, and how a build decides which edition it is.

TrueCourse is open source under the MIT license, except for three features. They live in the repository's `ee/` directory under a separate commercial license.

## What the enterprise edition adds

## What is open

Everything else: the engine, sign-in, one workspace with its members, connecting a repository, [Context](/guard/web-sources), [Code](/code), [Flows](/flows), runs and their evidence, [Agent](/agent), [Home](/home), [Notifications](/notifications), and Settings' Members, Repositories and Models.

## Which edition a build is

The edition is decided when the build is made, not at runtime. There is no license key to enter and no feature flag to flip. When a build includes the `ee/` tree, the enterprise features register themselves into the app and the container image starts the enterprise entry point. When it does not, the open edition has no trace of them: the Connections tab does not exist, the sidebar names the one workspace without a switcher, and Azure DevOps is not among the providers.
