# Multiple workspaces

> An enterprise feature: the workspace switcher, Create workspace, and what belongs to a workspace.

In the open edition the top of the sidebar names the workspace you are in and offers no way out of it. The enterprise edition replaces that block with a **switcher**.

## The switcher

The switcher shows the current workspace's initial and name. Opening it lists every workspace you belong to, with the current one marked, and offers **Create workspace**. Collapsed to the icon rail, the initial alone opens the same menu.

Choosing another workspace moves your session into it, and the app starts over at the root rather than redrawing pages that belonged to the old one. A switch that is refused is reported as a toast.

## Create workspace

**Create workspace** asks for one name. The server creates the workspace, makes you its first member and puts your session into it, so the app comes back already inside the new one. A refused name is explained under the field.

## What belongs to a workspace

Everything the product holds is scoped to one workspace: its [sources and documents](/guard/web-sources), the curated corpus and its decisions, the connected [repositories](/code) with their runs and evidence, the [members](/settings/members), the [model provider](/configuration/llm-transport), the jobs and the notifications. Moving between workspaces changes all of it at once.
