# Members

> The workspace's people and its standing invitations, and how to invite, remove and revoke.

Settings holds **Workspace**, **Members**, [**Repositories**](/settings/repositories), **Models**, **Usage**, **Credits** on a hosted server, [**Connections**](/enterprise/connections) in the enterprise edition, and [**MCP**](/settings/mcp). Models is covered in [LLM transport](/configuration/llm-transport).

**Settings › Members** is the workspace's people. Members and standing invitations are one list, because somebody who was invited is on their way in and belongs beside the people already here.

The rows are read live from the identity provider, and every action is a request followed by a re-read, so what you see afterwards is what the provider answered.

## Members

A member's row carries their name, their email, the word **Member**, when they joined, and **Remove**.

There is no confirmation dialog, because removing somebody is undone by inviting them again. Two things cannot be done at all: you can never remove yourself, and the last member of a workspace can never be removed. The button says so when you hover it.

## Invitations

An invitation has no name yet, so the email is the person. Its row carries **Invited**, or **Expired** once it has lapsed, when it was created, and two actions:

* **Copy link** copies the address that accepts the invitation.
* **Revoke** withdraws it.

## Invite someone

**Invite member** sits in the Settings header while Members is open. It asks for one email and sends the invitation. If the provider refuses, the dialog shows what it said.

## Searching

The search box at the top matches names and email addresses, across both members and invitations.

## Local mode

A local server has no identity provider and one implicit person, so it offers no invitations and no member list to act on. See [Local folders](/local-folders).
